Remote elements

Remote elements either serve to control devices, visualize a device status or have a pure design function. The elements can be positioned, scaled and aligned as desired on the page.

The easiest way to design your remote is via Smart Widgets. Click the magic wand icon to open the smart widgets menu. Smart Widgets are ready-made design templates with which you can put together your remote in no time at all. Because actions and status of the devices are automatically assigned to the control elements, all you have to do is choose your favorite widget and insert it. Of course, you can still edit and modify the widget afterwards. But you can also design your remote completely one by one by using single elements.

• Web page
• Color picker
• Device element

In addition you can define group-elements. These group elements are customized compositions of remote elements, just like widgets. But with group elements it is necessary to assign status and actions by yourself. All elements are explained in detail in this chapter.

Insert, copy and delete remote elements

To insert a remote element drag the element from the elements bar onto the remote page. To copy and insert an element press the key combination CTRL+C and CTRL+V; therefor the element hast to be marked first. You can also use the right mouse button to copy & paste the element.

To delete a remote element select it and click the delete button on your keyboard or the corresponding icon in the properties menu at the bottom right or use the right mouse button or the „X“ on the marked icon.
