image with status display
Image elements can also be used to visualize the status of a device. That means, the displayed image changes depending on the detected status. To enable an image element to display a dynamic status, select a status device in the properties menu (if no status device is selected, the element is automatically a „normal“ static graphic). If a status device was selected, not all icons are offered in the Image catalogue, but only status icons. These status icons are image sets that consist of several icon images. Each icon indicates one of the different statuses of the device. E.g. „on“ and „off“ for a light bulb.
Why doesn‘t the icon show the status of my device?
The status image (e.g. of the garage) have different status values to which this graphic reacts. In the case of the garage icon it reacts to the values ”pen“ and „closed“. Although this is the most common value set for garage doors, it might be possible, that your device provides a different status value. In this case, the status icon cannot show the status of the device. To avoid this you can help yourself and define a customized status image with a status rule
See how this works in the section Create, edit and assign status rules
