Create a backup for the VIZ Designer

As a general rule, a backup should be made from time to time and before each software update in case any unforeseen problems occur.

To make a local backup for the VIZ Designer, you can simply create a backup on the start screen of the VIZ Designer in the top left corner under Backups and also import it there.

Alternatively, you can copy the complete VIZ Designer user directory including all subfolders and save them separately.

In addition, you can create or load a backup in the settings menu of the VIZ Designer, under the menu item „Backups“.

User directory: Where is it located?

The user directory is located in:

/Users/$USER$/Documents/VIZ Designer

Log file: Where can I find it?

The log file is located in the user directory in the subfolder logs.
