Create and edit macros
Macros are always created by assigning them to a group as a superordinate category.
- Create a group by clicking on the button Create group in the lower left corner.
- Now add commands to your macro, change the order, edit or delete commands.
Basically, any number of macros can be assigned to each group.
What do I need pauses/waits for in macros?
An example:
The macro is supposed to switch on the TV on and then switch to the three-digit program position 105.
The insertion of pauses in macros is particularly necessary when a device should receive several codes one after the other in a specific time, as in the example of the TV. In practice, sometimes devices have difficulties to recognize codes when they are received in direct succession (i.e. without a pause) or if the device is not yet ready (e.g. after switching on).
The time delay caused by pauses can, of course, also be used in a stylistic way when creating scenarios.
Macros can not be executed in the app preview, but in the app.
